Case Studies

We've all heard about how wonderful Pilates is for your mental and physical state, but exactly what does the instructor do?  My goal is always to teach your body to feel more fit, toned, and balanced while working on your main goal(s).  I custom design your routine because, as you know, everyone has a different starting point.

This page is dedicated to my clients who continue to invest their time in me because they trust and know I can deliver the most efficient and effective exercise program to fit their needs.

These stories will both inspire and motivate you.

  • Toned Bodies

Mary is a business owner, 58, and overweight.  I focused on overall strengthening with a variety of movements to keep the heart rate up.  We worked primarily on the Pilates Reformer once, sometimes twice a week for a little over one year (with the exception of 3 weeks off for our combined vacations).

She reported having lost 3 dress sizes during that time.

  • Auto-Immune Disease

Tori is a real estate agent, 55, and diagnosed with Lupus. She has always been in good physical shape and wanted to continue staying active.   I varied her routine based on how she felt on workout days.  We worked together 2-3 times a week on all Pilates equipment - Reformer, Tower, Ladder Barrel, and various small equipment.

She reports that without Pilates her joints become stiff and her muscles tighten making it unpleasant to do routine tasks.

  • Posture/Flexibility

Michael is a corporate executive, 49, and was looking for an exercise routine to help with poor posture, and "unreasonable pain and lack of mobility to move easily".  I focused on muscle lengthening, balance, and back strengthening.  We worked together once a week on primarily the Pilates Tower, then as he got stronger, on the Reformer and Ladder Barrel.

He reports an appreciation for Pilates' ability to improve his posture and help him "move normal".

  • Osteoporosis

Maura is an attorney, 46, and diagnosed with osteoporosis.  I focused on muscle lengthening, strength, and balance.  We worked once a week on the Reformer, Tower and Ladder Barrel.

She reports feeling great relief from reoccurring neck/shoulder pain, and easier joint mobility.
